The new version of the straton software is now available. New features are available like S2 redundancy with ProfinetIO, IEC61850-7-420:2021 compliance of our SCL Editor, new features with TLS like securing the straton T5 protocol as well as MODBUS-TCP, WSTRING support and finally a JSON library with additional functional blocks.<\/p>\n

Redundancy S2 ProfinetIO<\/strong><\/p>\n

The straton redundant runtime now supports S2 redundancy on ProfinetIO. The Primary and Secondary controller connect to the device to allow active switching with low latency. This allows safe switching from the backup controller to the primary and vice versa, thus avoiding temporary network failures.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Thanks to the Profinet Controler communication available on the straton software. You have the possibility to drive several I\/O modules from a single controller. Centralizing and controlling all the inputs and outputs of a system from a single controller has advantages but what happens if the controller fails?<\/p>\n

Thanks to the S2 redundancy for Profinet you will have the possibility to put in redundancy your controller with a second one which will take over in case of failure, power cut, network cable cut…<\/p>\n

Reactivity<\/strong><\/p>\n

The S2 redundancy will also allow you to reduce the switching time from one controller to another without having to restart the Profinet stack because the Profinet link will always remain active.<\/p>\n
