Version 11.0 of the straton automation software is now available. New features are available like our HTML based monitoring tool, security through TLS for MQTT, communication with CAN FD, an ANSI C client library (connector) for the T5 event protocol, improvement of the Ethernet/IP configurator or the possibility to port the straton runtime to a 64 bit platform.
We have always wanted to make it easier to develop and maintain your applications. By offering new tools and improving some features we hope that every user can optimize his automation projects with straton software.
Monitoring tool based on HTML
We have implemented the HTML-based monitoring tool so that it can be run in a browser without the need to install a specific tool. The system allows remote monitoring of programs executed by a runtime with a JSON data server enabled. No need to install a product or configure a firewall.
TLS security for MQTT
The MQTT driver must provide a default implementation (on Linux) of protocol security using TLS one-way SSL authentication. The integration of TLS is now greatly simplified.
CAN FD Communication
CAN FD (Flexible Datarate) allows up to 64 bytes for the payload of a message. The STRATON CANbus configurator and compiler now support CAN FD as another CAN bus type. Integration is now easy in the Dev Kit.
Improvement of the Ethernet / IP configurator
For EDS files that do not contain an assembly definition, it is now possible to select a connection point. Another improvement is that you can now configure a server without IO assemblies to be used only for UCMM messaging. You can then only use UCMM when IO exchange is not required, which allows you to reduce the network load.
ANSI C client library (connector) for the T5 event protocol
Our Dev Kit includes an ANSI C library that covered the basic exchanges with the Runtime (read/write/upload/start/stop). In version 11.0, the library is extended with a client connector for our event-based protocol (biding).
straton runtime ready to be ported to 64 bit platform
- An option has been added to automate and simplify the porting for 64-bit “C” compilers (for the T5DK wizard?)
- Information has been added to the SDK documentation
- A secure implementation for sockets and memory allocation
- We provide ready-to-use templates on FB file handling
- A new compiled sample for Windows X64
These new features allow you to reduce the time needed for 64bit porting (64bit compilation may be needed when the runtime has to be linked to 64bit binary libraries).
